Facebook: Get ready for upcoming changes

Facebook announced several new products and features changes that will launch on its platform very soon, these changes are designed for people and businesses to make it easier to communicate with others.

Here's what's coming:

1. Round videos on your News Feed and Oculus VR headset (if you have it).
Facebook will coming up with supporting videos shot with 360-degree camera technology (the same way Google Maps' Street View photos are captured). These videos allow you to change the way you see on the screen.

Google (GOOGL, Tech30)-owned YouTube they recently announced also support for this format. As video content becomes the present format for sharing, we expect more from these two giant networking companies.

2. You track your online purchases and communicate through Messenger.
Facebook's messaging app(FBMessanger) will soon be integrated into the e-commerce sites. In the future, when you order something online, you can now choose to connect your Facebook account as well so that companies can send you all notifications about your order directly in the Messenger app.

If you hate getting many unusual emails for the confirmation of your order, that tell you about your order has been shipped, your order is delivered, than you might love this update.

3. Reply to messages by using other apps.
You can now use third party apps like animated GIF-creator Giphy within the Messenger app to send a message. Before, you'd have to close the app first, open Giphy app, create a GIF, and then copy it into a message which is much longer.

"We truly feel that, together, we have a shot at reinventing how a billion people communicate every day," said David Marcus, head of the Messenger team at Facebook. He also added his love for GIFs. "They make the world a little better."

Messenger also now allows compatible third-party apps to prompt people to download their apps directly through the Messenger platform.

4. Videos can be embedded online which you post on Facebook elsewhere.
Before, if you have uploaded a video to Facebook, you could only share the video by linking to it. This is another feature to make it more attractive and useful for people to upload their videos on Facebook instead of YouTube.

5. If you comment on a story somewhere else online, it will show up on Facebook too.
Soon you want to say something about an article which you have read, remember that it will soon show up automatically under the story posted to Facebook. This change is very useful and easy for media companies to gain more engagement with their content on web.

Facebook connect partners BuzzFeed, Fox Sports, EliteDaily, and The Huffington Post are among the first media companies to test this update.

6. Get ready to control more than one devices with your Facebook account.
The company also announced new ways for its developers to build programs which can control everything from your garage door to your self-watering plant. It's Facebook's way of getting into the world of the Internet of Things.

"We want to be there with you when you start experimenting with these things," Parse CEO and co-founder Ilya Sukhar told the audience.

7. Developers soon get analytics for their apps.
The free dashboard will let developers see who is interacting with their apps and where they're coming from across all devices.
